To play itemsV2 in hurtworld you just need to launch the game in your steam library and click the itemsV2 option. If your new to the game or havent played in a year or two ItemsV2 is a overhaul of the game, and since its a complete overhaul all of the recent updates to the game have soley been on itemsV2, so its far better than the normal version of the game right now. And until they release itemsV2 they will typically update the game every 2 weeks which is why most servers have a 2 week wipe cycle. Most people who play itemsv2 which is still in beta are waiting for the helicopter update coming sometime earlier january to start playing again, so even small servers should be decently populated when that update drops. There are also massive chinese and russian servers which have allot of people playing for whatever reason that russians and asains usually flood games with small communities for. Usually theres only 2 english servers that have a decent population, but the community is so nice in both servers that the game is still worth playing.
